Professor Sciarra on Constitutional Courts and Austerity Measures

On 4 March 2020, Professor Sciarra, judge at the Italian Constitutional Court since 2014 and first woman elected by the Italian Parliament to this institution, presented on “Constitutional Courts and Austerity Measures”. By analyzing recent Italian constitutional case law dealing with the consequences of austerity, she addressed the limits and potential of how constitutional courts protect social rights and rights of workers.

The tenth ‘Courts in Dialogue’ course convened by Professor Sajó concludes in Strasbourg

Professor András Sajó convened for the tenth time the Courts in Dialogue course for students in the Human Rights and Comparative Constitutional Law programs between January 12 and 15, 2020. The group was hosted at the European Court of Human Rights (Strasbourg, France) by Judge Péter Paczolay.
