András Sajó

Andras Sajo is a former judge at the European Court of Human Rights, Strasbourg (2009-17). He is a Professor Emeritus at CEU. Professor Sajo was the founding dean of Legal Studies at CEU. In addition to his stature as a prominent constitutionalist, he is also a distinguished scholar in the human rights field, including media regulation.

Károly Bárd

Károly Bárd is Professor Emeritus at CEU Legal Studies Department. He started his career at the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. Between 1990 and 1997 he served as vice-minister and later as deputy state secretary in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Hungary. He worked as Research Director at the Constitutional and Legal Policy Institute of the Open Society Institute (Budapest) for more than 3 years. Upon the request of international organizations - such as the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the OECD, the World Bank, etc.

Karin Lukas

Professor Karin Lukas is Principal Investigator of an Austrian Science Fund “FWF” bilateral research project on human rights of solo-entrepreneurs, including platform economy workers. She is an expert regarding the interactions between different human rights systems and institutions with a focus on the wider Europe, as well as in the translation of human rights standards into activities of business, trade, development cooperation and climate change. Her research focuses on human rights in the (digital) economy, sustainable supply chains and corporate accountability, as well as human rights in Europe with a focus on gender equality. Her latest monograph is the first comprehensive article by article commentary on the European Social Charter. 

Csilla Kollonay-Lehoczky

Csilla Kollonay-Lehoczky is Professor Emerita at CEU Legal Studies Department. Her teaching and research areas cover labour and social law, European labour law, gender, non-discrimination and equal opportunity law. 

Tibor Várady

Tibor Várady is Professor Emeritus at CEU Legal Studies Department. He started his career at the Novi Sad Law School in the former Yugoslavia and served as director of its Center for International Studies. He joined CEU in 1993 as a professor at the Legal Studies Department  and was Chair of the International Business Law Program for many years. Prof. Varady is an internationally-recognized scholar and expert on international commercial arbitration, private international law, and international business transactions.
