János Fiala

Janos has always been interested in minority rights, but after beginning his studies at CEU, he developed a specific interest in disability rights and the rights of detainees. Since studying at CEU, Janos has been a human rights lawyer in various positions and disciplines, being driven by a mission to “improve the world” as he puts it. Currently, Janos is a Lecturer at the School of Law at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Meanwhile, he practices human rights law and international litigation.

Hessebon, Gedion Timothewos

Gedion Timothewos is a legal scholar whose research focus is on constitutionalism, rule of law, democracy, freedom of expression and religion as well as comparative constitutional law, with an African focus. He has thought various courses, both at the graduate and undergraduate level at the Addis Ababa University, Central European University as well as Hawassa and Ethiopian Civil Service Universities.

Iheme, Chima Williams

Williams obtained his bachelor of laws and post-graduate practice degrees with second class upper division from University of Benin and Nigerian Law School respectively. Afterwards, he worked in a commercial law firm in Lagos where he was saddled with many commercial law tasks including the representation of clients in court. In pursuit of his quest to gain more brilliant insights in commercial law, he enrolled at CEU and obtained a Master of Laws degree in International Business Law in 2013.

Živković, Patricia

Patricia Živković was an S.J.D. Candidate at the Legal Department at CEU. She was also a research assistant for Professor Tibor Várady and a coach of the CEU Vis Moot team. Her interest in alternative dispute resolution [ADR] mechanisms started during her undergraduate studies when she participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Her LL.M thesis topic was “Effects of Bankruptcy on Arbitration Proceedings”. During her LL.M program she spent two-month research period at Cornell Law School.
