Six months of intense preparations have proved fruitful for this year’s Vis Moot Team as they made CEU history by qualifying to the Round of 16 elimination rounds in the 26th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. The international competition brought together 372 universities from 87 countries to the city of Vienna for the oral rounds held from 12-18 April 2019.
On April 11, 2019, Boris Praštalo publicly defended his doctoral (S.J.D.) dissertation titled: “Uniformity in the Application of the CISG – Analysis of the Problem and Recommendations for the Future.”
On April 19, 2019 Professor Alexander Blankenagel (Humboldt University, Faculty of Law) returned to CEU to deliver a distinguished public lecture to mark his more than two decades of service to the University.
