Just published: Berihun Gebeye on A Theory of African Constitutionalism

Dr. Berihun Gebeye’s, a CEU graduate with an LLM in Human Rights and an SJD in Comparative Constitutional Law, book ‘A Theory of African Constitutionalism’ has been recently published.

The book asks and seeks to answer why we need a new theoretical framework for African constitutionalism and how this could offer us better theoretical and practical tools with which to understand, improve, and assess African constitutionalism on its own terms.

Harvard Law School’s Institute for Global Law and Policy organized an intensive scholars’ workshop that took place in Geneva Switzerland from August 16-20, 2021(online).  Prof. Judit Sándor is a member of this Harvard Law Program. The next Session will be held in Geneva in January 2022. The program is supported by the Open Society University Network (OSUN).

On August 27 Prof. Judit Sándor was one of the two keynote speakers at the Webinar on “Global Bioethics after the Covid-19 Pandemic”, organized by the European Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Healthcare (ESPMH) and the Center for Bioethics & Biolaw (University of Warsaw). The title of her presentation was “Reconstructing Human Rights after the Covid-19 Pandemic”.
