CBLP Conference - Developments in Insolvency Law with Dr Virág Blazsek and Professor Tibor Tajti

Virag Blazsek, lecturer at the Leeds University (UK) Centre for Business Law and Practice and the alumna of CEU LEGS (IBL Program), is to moderate the discussion on Panel 2 – devoted to banking insolvency – of an international conference titled DEVELOPMENTS IN INSOLVENCY LAW organized by the Centre on 13th of May 2022. Professor Tibor Tajti, is foreseen to speak about the interplay of insolvency and data protection law as part of Panel 1 on corporate insolvencies.

Prof. Tajti publishes a commentary on Data Protection

The second edition of the Oxford Commentary on the European Insolvency Regulation, edited by Professors Reinhard Bork and Kristin van Zwieten has just been published. The volume includes Professor Tibor Tajti’s renewed commentary on the new Data Protection Chapter VI based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679.

AI in the EU and Access to Justice – A Panel Discussion

Automation may endanger fundamental values in the EU. In a panel discussion on 28 January 2022, experts discussed how the use of AI by the EU administration affects individuals’ access to justice.

On the 28 of January 2022, the Department of Legal Studies (Central European University), the Europa Institute (Leiden University), and the ESIL Interest Group ‘The EU as a Global Actor’ organised and virtually hosted an Expert Panel Discussion on the topic 'AI in the EU and Access to Justice'.
