Sejal Parmar spoke on a panel on “The (In-)Effectiveness of International Law in Protecting Journalism” at the Deutsche Welle media law session on “Journalism in International Law – Protected or Defenseless?” held in Berlin on 11 December 2019. Photographs from the event are available here.

Parmar teaches courses on the UN human rights system, international human rights advocacy, freedom of expression and media freedom at the Department of Legal Studies and the School of Public Policy. She is a core faculty member of the Center for Media, Data and Society.
