Alumni and Faculty in Tilburg Law Review Special Issue

February 22, 2019

In May 2018 Dr. Catalin-Gabriel Stanescu (SJD LEGS ‘15), organized a conference focusing on the protection of consumers in the digital age at University of Copenhagen Faculty of Law (Denmark).

The papers are now available in the latest issue of the Tilburg Law Review (volume 24 issue 1).

Four articles were written by our faculty and alumni. Professor Tibor Tajti wrote about the protection of consumer-creditors in bankruptcy. Asress Adimi Gikay (LEGS ‘16) explored the need for protection of consumer-clients of blockchain-based financial services. Catalin Stanescu wrote on the dilemmas surrounding the shift from the 'average' to the 'responsible' consumer in Europe. And Andrea Fejős (LEGS ‘06) focused on the role social justice plays in the context of European consumer protection laws.
