Congratulation on appointment of Prof. Tamás Korhecz as Constitutional Judge

The Department of Legal Studies warm-heartedly congratulates the appointment of dr. Tamás Korhecz as one of the Constitutional Judges of Serbia. Prof. Korhecz – the former chair of the Hungarian National Council in Serbia – has been appointed by the President of Serbia.

Prof. Tamás Korhecz earned his LL.M. degree at Central European University - Department of Legal Studies, Budapest (in 1996), where he accomplished his doctoral studies as well (in 2000) and was awarded the S.J.D. degree in comparative constitutional law.

From academic year 2002/2003, he teaches constitutional and administrative law in Serbia and Hungary. From 2009 he is visiting professor at the CEU – Department of Legal Studies. He published two books and more than 60 articles in various journals in Hungarian, Serbian, French, Romanian and English languages. In the focus of his academic research are issues like the protection of minority rights, official language legislation, organization of administration, decentralization of the state.
