Mark is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Legal Studies at Central European University since 2022.

His research focuses on the importance of public disclosure of information to regulating public capital markets. This includes a comparative legal study of the market disclosure rules on mandatory and voluntary disclosure of information governing publicly-listed companies in the US, the EU and the UK.

Mark obtained a bachelor's degree in English Law from the University of Nottingham in 2011. Mark subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course with the University of Law in London in 2012 and began practising as an English solicitor in 2012, qualifying in 2014. Mark specialised in finance transactions, including structured finance, securitisation, real estate finance, project finance and derivatives. This entailed working for international law firms Linklaters, Ropes & Gray and CMS Hasche Sigle in London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Hamburg until 2021. Mark obtained a master's degree in Law and Finance from the University of Amsterdam in 2022.

Mark is a research associate at the Amsterdam Center for Law & Economics (ACLE).
