LEGS Students visit the Austrian Constitutional Court

February 20, 2024

Today, students and researchers of the Department of Legal Studies visited the Austrian Constitutional Court, known as being the first centralized constitutional court in the world. It constitutes the raw model and origin of a design of judicial review that has travelled around the globe ever since. The Head of the President's Office and Deputy Presidential Director, Mag. Marianne Bruckmüller, gave a tour of the building and an introduction to the tasks of the court, its composition, and its work processes. After a first tour during the last academic year, this visit is becoming a regular feature for our programs and of special interest for the students of the LLM in Comparative Constitutional Law.
