On September 18, 2023 Prof. Helen Hartnell peacefully passed away in Berlin. Helen played a crucial role in shaping the CEU Department of Legal Studies in its early years. She has had a great and lasting influence on the many students she taught and supervised during her time with us. We will always remember her kindness, her intellect and her engaged teaching. Our sincere condolences to her family.
