CEU Vis Moot Team at the Belgrade Arbitration Conference and Pre-Moot

In March 2018 the CEU Vis Moot Team attended the Belgrade Arbitration Conference and participated in the Belgrade Pre- Moot.

The CEU team, as well as Professor Tibor Tajti and Professor Markus Petsche attended the X Belgrade Arbitration Conference held on March 16th, at the premises of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law, during which three different panels composed of high-level practitioners of law and academics discussed the subjects of arbitration and ethics, recent developments of various institutional arbitration rules and the evergreens and new challenges of arbitration. 

Over the weekend of 17-18 March 2018, the CEU VIS Moot Team participated in the XI Belgrade Pre-Moot, a traditional and well-known event in the region, that this year hosted teams from 75 universities from 32 countries. The CEU team participated in oral practice rounds with four other teams coming from various countries. The event was organized by the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law, in cooperation with the GIZ Open Regional Fund, Foreign-Trade Arbitration Court attached to the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Belgrade City Hall and a number of renowned law firms. As of 2012, the German Institution of Arbitration – DIS is part of the Belgrade Open Pre-moot organizing board and is contributing significantly to its successful organization. Since 2013, the organizing board of the Pre-moot has been extended by participation and support of Serbian Arbitration Association.
