Csilla Kollonay-Lehoczky Awarded Pro Iure Laboris Prize

Csilla Kollonay-Lehoczky, professor emerita in the Department of Legal Studies at CEU has been awarded the Pro Iure Laboris Prize on occasion of the 14th Hungarian Labour Law Conference held in Visegrad October 10-12. The prize is an acknowledgement of a valuable career contributing to the development and values of labour and employment law.

Kollonay-Lehoczky, former director of the Doctoral Program, has been teaching in the department since 1992. 

Her teaching and research areas cover labor and social law, European labor law, gender, non-discrimination and equal opportunity law. Through 2013 she was also at ELTE Faculty of Law as professor, the Head of the Labour and Social Law Department. Her international teaching experience covers universities in the U.S. and Europe.

Kollonay-Lehoczky was member of the European Committee of Social Rights (the independent experts' body of the Council of Europe assessing the compliance with the European Social Charter) from 2001 until 2013. She worked in expert and consultative bodies of the EU Commission and the Council on issues of flexicurity, gender equality, the Public Service Tribunal, as well as a member of international and Hungarian academic networks, advisory and executive boards within her research and teaching area.
