“Italian Constitutional Justice in Global Context” is the first English language book to provide a comprehensive analysis of the origins, the organization, the procedures and the case law of the Italian Constitutional Court (ItCC), one of the strongest specialized institutions of its kind around the world. So far however, the ItCC has been relatively ignored by the burgeoning global judicial dialogue partly due to a relative lack of both English translations of its decisions and of scholarly commentary in English.

This conference intends to provide and open a discussion space on this new, important book and on Italian constitutional law from a comparative and global perspective. The morning session will be organized in the form of an open discussion by the book authors during which the public will have the occasion to directly engage with the authors. The afternoon session instead will be dedicated to specific case studies in which a number of constitutional law experts discuss and analyse specific examples of how the ItCC and its case law have entered or could enter the global judicial dialogue.
