We are pleased to announce that the European University Institute is organising a presentation at the Central European University to introduce its Doctoral Programme for the academic year 2015/2016.

The presentation will take place at the Central European University (CEU), Gellner Room (Nº 103), 1st floor, Nádor u.9 (1051 Budapest) on 15 December 2014 from 14:00 to 16:00.

Dr. Mathias Möschel (LAW Alumnus) and Prof. László Bruszt, Professor of Sociology at the EUI, will present PhD programmes in Economics, History and Civilization, Law and Political and Social Sciences.

The EUI is a unique academic institution with one of the world’s largest doctoral and postdoctoral programmes in the social sciences. Our intellectual community is comprised of more than 1000 scholars from over 60 countries. Located in Florence, Italy, the EUI offers a structured doctoral programme with excellent supervision and opportunities to participate in cutting-edge research that transcends national academic traditions.

Since its establishment 40 years ago, the Institute has been committed to fostering the advancement of research in fields which are of particular interest for the development of Europe. The EUI promotes interdisciplinary research and provides training to prepare its graduates with the theoretical and applied skills needed for successful careers in leading universities, research-oriented organisations, international organisations and government agencies.

The Institute is looking for highly motivated and qualified researchers to further complement the already outstanding quality of our current scholars. Grants for doctoral candidates are available; last year 158 grants were on offer for successful candidates.

If you are interested in furthering your education with a doctoral degree in the field of social sciences, this presentation provides the chance for you to find out more about the EUI’s Ph.D. Programme.

We remind you that the deadline for submitting applications for the academic year 2015/2016 is 31 January 2015. The online applications will open by the end of October 2014.
