Roger Errera is a former senior member of the Conseil d’Etat, France’s Supreme Court for administrative law. He sat until 2002 on the Conseil supérieur de la magistrature, the body that vets judicial appointments and acts as a disciplinary Board for the judiciary.
Until 2010 he has been a regular Visiting Professor at the Central European University in Budapest, where he taught free speech and judicial review of administrative action.

Roger Errera has been a member of the Board of the Ecole nationale de la magistrature (the State school where judges are trained). He has chaired the Board of the Ecole nationale supérieure de la police de Saint-Cyr-au-Mont d’Or. A former member of the UN Human Rights Committee, he has taught both in France, at the Institut d’études politiques de Paris, the Ecole nationale d’administration and the Ecole nationale de la magistrature and abroad, at the University of London (University College).

Roger Errera is a graduate of the Ecole nationale d'administration (ENA) and of the IEP de Paris (Sciences Po).
