On March 20, the Department of Legal Studies was honoured to welcome the Vis Moot Team of Victoria University from Melbourne, Australia, led by Professor Colin James King, for some oral pleadings aiming at the further preparation of teams for the 25th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration.
The event hosted by the Department of Legal Studies was held at the CEU premises. This was an excellent opportunity for the teams to practice and also of networking. The team of Victoria University visited the new CEU campus to get a sense of the CEU environment and community.
The event brought together legal practitioners and doctoral candidates of Legal Studies Department, who acted as arbitrators. The Department of Legal Studies is grateful to Mr. Zoltán Puskás, Mr. Márk Erdélyi, Ms. Rebecca Khan and Mr. Wasiq Dar for their participation.
The event was concluded by the lecture delivered by Professor Tibor Várady on “What is pro-arbitration today?”
