Victor Giusti is a Doctoral Candidate (S.J.D.) in the Department of Legal Studies at Central European University (CEU), to which he has been affiliated since 2024.
Before joining CEU, he completed a Master’s in Human Rights and Citizenship at the Universidade de Brasília (UnB), Brazil, and worked as a researcher on different projects combining quantitative and qualitative approaches to judicial decision-making, public debates on gender-sensitive issues, and online political campaigning. His Master’s research focused on gendered disinformation in Brazilian politics, which led to the publication of his thesis in book format in 2022.
In his doctoral research, Victor examines the relationship between childhood and neoconservatism in Latin America, focusing on disputes over gender and sexual diversity education in the region. His work draws on critical approaches to human rights, democracy, and constitutionalism, engaging with queer and feminist theories.
