Karyna Sazanovich (néé Loban)

Following her graduation from CEU 10 years ago, Karyna has worked as an associate, senior associate and head of practice for various consulting companies in Belarus. Her practice relates generally to the areas of investment and arbitration. Over the course of her career, she has participated in a number of distinguished investment and arbitration projects in Belarus and abroad, including the opening of the “Great Stone” China-Belarus Industrial Park and the development of the Prague Rules for international arbitration. Since 2018 she has headed the legal department of Gurtam – an international group of companies creating GPS tracking and IoT solutions.
During her time at CEU, Karyna was a member of the Vis Moot team competing in the 16th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. In the years since, she has continued to be an active participant in the Vis Moot, acting as both coach and arbitrator.
Karyna is also a leader of the CEU Alumni Chapter in Belarus, and was one of the founders of the Vitaly Silitski Alumni Scholarship for Belarusian students at CEU.
